Do It Yourself Toyota Maintenance Tips

Most Toyota vehicles have an air filter which clean the air that comes into the cabin. It subtracts some of the debris and dust entering through the ventilation. It is recommended to be changed about every 10,000 miles or according to your Toyota owners manual. This is a part that can be replace by yourself, which can save you money.

Step 1. Purchase a Genuine Toyota replacement filter. You can buy one at Weiss Toyota Scion Parts Department.

Step 3. Squeeze the sides of the glove compartment together and pull to move the tabs past the edges, to the front of the dash. Then lift the entire glove compartment off its hinges.

Note: When it is too hard to push, instead of pushing both sides, you might want to try to push against the back of the glove box, while pulling on the front.
