TMMMS Adds Shift for Corolla Production

The Toyota Motor Corporation spent most of the year last year fighting for their position in sales. Due to extreme circumstances the company was forced to do whatever they needed to do to keep their profit in the green. Aside from dealing with the struggling American economy and the rise in value of the yen, they were also faced with natural disasters which threatened the production and processes of many of their plants. However, by the end of the year they were able to put it together and come out even for the year.

While their efforts may have been pushed to the extreme a few of their vehicles kept bringing in the sales for the company. Some of these included the Toyota Camry, the Toyota Camry Hybrid, the Toyota Prius and the Toyota Corolla car. Each of these represents a different segment, each having great success within their respective segments. The Toyota Motor Corporation devised a plan to expand the production of the Toyota Corolla at their Mississippi plant. As it currently stands they recently added the necessary second shift at their Mississippi plant to accommodate the expansion. Now there are approximately 2, 000 people employed at the United States plant. You can find the newest Toyota Corolla car St. Louis as well as used versions of the Corolla car at your favorite local MO dealership.

“Adding a second shift is a significant milestone for us,” said David Copenhaver, vice president of administration at TMMMS. “Our team members’ strong work ethic and focus on quality and safety has begun to pay dividends for Corolla customers across North America as we continue production ramp up through spring.”
