Repairing a Driveway Divot

Driveway Divots my damage your ToyotaThere is nothing worse than traveling over a pothole at full speed not seeing it until it’s already happening. Potholes can be particularly damaging to cars, especially those lower to the ground. They form usually after the winter season when the ground has been frozen and begins to thaw. This expansion and retraction creates a hole in the asphalt. Usually, on main roads these holes are quickly filled. However, some may be left on the road for some time before workers are able to get to them. It is best to practice safe driving when traveling on surfaces with potholes.

It is bad enough that many of our roadways are riddled with potholes during the spring season. However, having a pothole spring up on your own driveway can be particularly troublesome. It is probably on an area which you travel a few times per day. Even though your Toyota cars are built using high quality material they may be at risk of damage when traveling over potholes. If you happen to have an asphalt driveway you are able to purchase a patch. Simply follow the directions for applying the patch and do so in order to correct the divot. If you have a cement driveway, you can simply fill in the hole with a cement mixture after thoroughly cleaning the pothole with water. Probably the easiest of all is a driveway with gravel. Even gravel driveways will get holes and indents every now and again. If this happens on your driveway simply fill in the holes with tightly packed gravel from other areas. You may have to add gravel to the entire driveway every so often in order to keep it as level as possible.
