An Overview of Toyota’s Entune System

Toyota offers the Entune system in a wide range of models including the 2012 4Runner, 2012 Camry, and 2012 Prius.  There are seventeen Entune equipped 2012 and 2013 models total and Toyota continues to add to this list with the introduction of new cars and trucks.

Entune users must have a smartphone with data services to access the applications and data services on Entune.  Currently, Android and Blackberry devices have the ability to connect wirelessly to Entune, yet iPhone users must connect via USB.  Toyota continues to work diligently on upgrading Entune so that all smartphones have wireless connections.
Applications and data services available from Entune include:

• iHeartRadio – Gives drivers the ability to listen to radio stations from around the country.
• MovieTickets.com – Find movie theatres and purchase tickets.
• OpenTable – Locate restaurants and make reservations.
• Pandora –  Provides drivers the ability listen to customized music channels.
• Fuel Prices – Locate fuel prices in your area.
• Stocks – Check stock status for the day.
• Sports – Get the lates scores.
• Traffic – Up to the minute traffic updates.
• Weather – Current weather updates.

All new Toyota vehicles equipped with Entune get three years of free application and data services.  Once the three year complimentary services expire, owners may purchase applicaiton and data packages in order to continue services.

Recently autonews.com interviewed Jack Hollis, the Marketing Vice President of the Toyota Division.  Hollis touched on some important factors of selling Toyota cars in this upcoming year.  One thing is for sure, marketing across all businesses will not be able to overlook the power of social media this year.  It has quickly become a rising star in the world of business and sales and people of all ages are turning to it when shopping for products.
