Poor Performance May Mean a New Battery is Needed

In order to continue with these standards you must make the necessary repairs and replacements in a timely manner. For instance, if you notice your battery beginning to have trouble or you notice a change in performance level due to the alternator, you will need to have these issues addressed. When changing and replacing the battery in your used Toyota car or truck at home you will need a Genuine Toyota replacement battery, a 10mm and 12mm wrench or one adjustable wrench, a battery cable puller or large screwdriver, battery cable and terminal cleaner, grease or petroleum jelly, baking soda, disposable gloves, eye protection, and newspaper. Before you begin the project you want to make sure the engine is fairly cold. This means it has not been driven or has not been driven very far just previous to the repair. Always remove the keys from the ignition when doing any work on your vehicle. You will disconnect the negative, then the positive battery cable, and then lift the old battery straight out of the used Toyota car or truck. Next you should inspect and clean the battery cables and battery compartment. Once this has been completed you can drop in the new Genuine Toyota battery and attached the cables to the appropriate points on the battery. Replacing your battery should make an instant improvement on how your used Toyota is performing.
