Many owners of classic cars will chose to store their vehicles during the harsh months in order to protect them from potentially damaging elements. Certain environmental elements can cause severe damage to the body of a vehicle. They can cause the paint to fade, the interior material color to fade, erosion of the paint resulting in rust damage, they can also cause mechanical damage to a vehicle. By storing a vehicle, such as classic, used Toyota cars, or other classic models, you can greatly reduce the amount of damage it may undergo during seasonally harsh months.

The ideal storage area for your classic vehicle is in a climate controlled garage. It will adequately protect your vehicle from environmental elements as well as from the harsh outside temperatures. However, if you choose to store your vehicle for an extended period of time in a garage, consider using a car cover. The cover will protect your vehicle from dust accumulating on the paint surface. A storage unit is also an effective way to protect your vehicle. You can choose between an average storage unit and one specifically designed for vehicle storage. A true vehicle storage unit will provide climate controlled storage; whereas a traditional storage unit may not provide any type of climate control protection.

A car port is another option for vehicle storage. A car port will provide some protection from environmental elements, but significantly less than the previously mentioned storage options. You will get best protection with using a car cover in conjunction with car port storage.
